Registration Help

How to request access

  • Return to the MyHumanitiesKit home page.
  • In the "Register or Buy Access" box, click Instructors.
  • Click I need to request access.
  • Choose the option that best describes your institution (e.g., “Two- or four-year college or university).
  • Enter your email address in the fields provided.
  • Select Yes, Agree to Terms.
  • Fill out the required fields in Step 3, and click Submit. Your request will be submitted to Pearson for validation to ensure your status as an instructor. If your request is approved, an access code will be sent to the email address you provided.

How to register an instructor access code

  • Return to the MyHumanitiesKit home page.
  • In the "Register or Buy Access" box, click Instructors.
  • Click I already have an access code.
  • Click I accept after reading the Pearson License Agreement and Privacy Policy.
  • Do you have a Pearson Education account?
    • If Yes - fill in your username and password (TIP! Choosing Yes and using your existing account will allow you to use the same username and password you use for your other Pearson products)
    • If No - Create a username and password per the guidelines provided.
    • If Not Sure - Enter your email address and click Search.
  • Enter your access code and click Next.
  • Check or enter required information in the appropriate fields.
  • Review and print your Confirmation and Summary page (a confirmation will also be sent to your email address).TIP! Be sure to take note of your username and password-write them down or save them on your computer in a place you will not forget.

Getting Started

How to log in

  • Return to the MyHumanitiesKit home page.
  • In the "Log In" box, click the correct button for MyHumanitiesKit.
  • Follow the on-screen steps, and enter your Login name and Password in the Fields provided.
  • Click Login.

For your students

Please provide your students with the following information to help them register for MyHumanitiesKit:

  • Your school's zip code.
  • Textbook information - including author, title, and edition.
  • A GradeTracker "Class ID " if you plan to view student progress in GradeTracker. A Class ID will look something like CM123456).

Retrieve Your Login Info

Forgot your login name or password? Go to https://register.pearsoncmg.com/forgotlogin/fl_enter_data.jsp to request your login or password information. This information will be emailed to the address you entered when you redeemed your access code card and created your Pearson Education subscription.

Update Your Account Information

Go to https://register.pearsoncmg.com/userprofile to update your subscription information. After logging in, you can update the email address you have on file, change your login name or password, or review the expiration dates of your subscriptions.

To check your operating system, turn on your computer and look for information on your operating system as the computer boots up. You can also find this information in your computer settings. For example, if you have a PC you can look at "View System Information" in "My Computer," which is accessible from the Start menu.

If you are unsure of the browser version you are using, launch the browser and select Help from the menu bar. Next, select "About Browser" (the browser name and the exact wording of the selection will vary) and a window will open with your browser name and version.

Cookies and JavaScript options
MyHumanitiesKit may use both cookies and JavaScript technology. (Cookies provide a way for the website to identify users and keep track of their preferences.) Both of these features must be turned on in your browser and are usually enabled by default. See your browser Help for instructions on how to view or change these browser options.

Pop-up windows
Some features of this website display in a pop-up browser window. If you are using a browser that offers pop-up control or are running an add-on program to control pop-ups, you may need to take steps to use such features. The steps to take depend on the browser or add-on program you are using.

Depending on the content at your site, you may also need to download one or more free plug-ins (such as Adobe® Reader®, Macromedia® Flash™, or Macromedia Shockwave®) You can use the Browser Tune-up to check whether a plug-in is installed. If it not, or you need to upgrade your version, you can follow links to download it.

Browser Tune-up

The Browser Tune-up utility will tell you whether or not media players and plugin programs are present on your computer and, when they are present, whether they are up to date.

  1. Click this Browser Tune-up link to open and work with the Browser Tune-up.
  2. In the list of plug-in programs in the center of the Browser Tune-up window, check which plug-ins are currently installed.
  3. For a plug-in that you need but which is not installed, click the Get It button to download the latest version. In some cases, you may need to register for the player or plugin, and you may need to restart your computer when you finish the download and installation.
  4. For a plug-in that is installed, click the Test It button to verify that it functions properly. If it does not, follow the on-screen instructions to download a new version.
  5. When you finish installing the players or plugins your website requires, close the Browser Tune-up, restart your browser, then return to MyHumanitiesKit.
